Persons supporting refugees in residential homes have told us about women promoting “female circumcision” in two accomodations in Nuremberg.
That may sound harmless – in reality this is not a religious ritual but a criminal act against young women and girls.
The correct term for this crime that threatens young femals` physical and mental health is Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) – French: Mutilation Féminine Génitale (MFG), German: Weibliche

As soon as we were informed about these ongoings we started to investigate and gather more information.
We co-operate with paediatrists and gynaecologists presuming they will be the first ones to come in contact with FGM.
